Strider started his show career at 6 months of age at the tiny show in Logan, Utah, taking winners dog both days. After that show, he competed in Spokane WA and Coeur d’Alene ID May 26-29; Twin Falls-Blackfoot ID June 12-17, going winners dog every day and getting his first major; the National Havanese Specialty in Denver CO August 16-18 where he placed in his class both days; Cheyenne WY on September
1 and 2, again taking winners dog both days; and then in Farmington UT September 13-16 where he was awarded best of winners and got his second major, achieving his conformation championship on September 16, 2007, at the exact age of 10 months.

Strider got his first leg towards his rally novice title at the National Havanese Specialty in Denver CO. Then in Boise, Idaho, on October 12th and 13th, he got his second and third legs, which qualified him for the rally novice title. He’s a very smart boy and very eager and willing to please, even though we haven’t spent very much time in training him. He has a great memory too.
