How We Got Our
Start in the Wonderful World of Havanese
We are expecting two new summer litters, mid June of 2009.  Go to Nursery for more info.

For years, we wanted to breed a healthy, sturdy toy dog and finally we found the Happy Havanese!  After much research we found Buster and through a referal from the Johanneses, we found Buddy.  In Dec of 2002, I flew up to Indiana, to Mary Ann Lukes and picked up our first ever show dog.  We were so excited.  I took ongoing handling classes from Gary stiles, a great guy and handler.  I was able to put Buddys AKC Championship on him  just before he turned a year old.  Followed shortly after with his Canadian and international championships.  He was a joy to show.

When he turned a year and a half, we had many who wanted to breed to our lovley boy.  He would have been a wonderful contribution to the breed, sadly we found out he was sterile and there was nothing more we could do.  I loved him dearly and couldn't bear to part with him, so we had him nuetered and he became our love bug.

Both Lucy, our lovely red/gold girl from Denmark, and Pico, our black and white spunky girl, and our latest champion, have now had two litters. Check out our nursery page for available puppies.  We are learning all the time about the sweet Havanese and it will be an ongoing education for us.

We have done much research on the Health issues of our breed.  We are very diligent in all our health testing and our goal is to breed Quality, Heathy,Happy Havanese.
